Tiwa Savage makes the BBC’s 2017 ‘100 Women list’

As reported by The Guardian, Nigerian Diva, Tiwa Savage has made it to the BBC list for this year’s 2017 100 inspirational and influential women. In the list also was Anne-Marie Imafidon.
The annual series – which shines a light on important issues affecting women all over the world – this year is encouraging women to make a change.
Other 7 influential African women that made the list are below listed:
Adelle Onyango (Kenya) 
Anita Nderu (Kenya) 
Chaima Lahsini (Morroco) 
Ellen Johnson Sirleaf (Liberia) 
Marieme Jamme (Senegal) 
Naomi Mwaura (Kenya) and 
Talent Jumo (Zimbabwe).

Speaking on the list BBC says:
This year, the women on the list will be part of the 100 Women Challenge, tackling some of the biggest problems facing women around the world.
Coming together in four teams, the women will share their experiences and create innovative ways to tackle:
  • The glass ceiling – #Teamlead
  • Female illiteracy – #Teamread
  • Street harassment – #Teamgo
  • Sexism in sport – #Teamplay

There are only 60 names currently mentioned on the list, But as time goes on more women who have take up challenges will be added and recognised for their great work.
